question about a pc headset connection to my xbox 360

I have a PC gaming headset with a 3.5mm jack for the mic and one for the speaker plug in. but i want to get an adapter for it for my 360. does anyone know what this adapter is called and/or where to get one? thank you.

I did some google-ing and found out that you can buy 3.5mm to 2.5mm converter, which is what the xbox should be. You can google it and find some websites that sell them. I looked on BB.com and didnt find anything there.

Anything i say is not a direct response from Best Buy or Geek Squad. I just post on here to add my insight.

yea i just bought a 3.5mm to 2.5mm for the mic and a 3.5mm to RCA for the speaker. the speaker part works (although its pretty quiet) but the mic doesnt at all.

I was afraid of that. I halfway figured that you would have to only use an xbox mic. Sorry man. But we have a used store, like they sell old books, records, CDs, toys, everything. They had a new xbox mic for $15. So look around those kinds of stores.
