If I just want to buy the Kinect system for my current xbox system is their anything else I need to buy to make it  ready to use or I can just connect the console to the connect with a cable that should come with the Kinect system but I don't know? The same with the 250 hard drive you can buy separate does it just plug into a port already on the console?

The Kinect system will have everything you need to connect to your white console.

The hard drive plugs into the hard drive bay on the top of the sytem.
