I was wondering what size Xbox to get. I would be using it for gaming and music mainly. The one thing I don't understand is when it talks about installing games it says thy they each take up 4gb and the smallest model is 4th.

Just get the Xbox 360 with 250Gb HDD. The 4GB model is the most basic and you would have to get the HDD anyway because it is required for many games.

I still dont understand the installing of games.

The point of installing a game is so things will load faster and the disc drive doesn't have to keep spinning.

You still need to have the game in the drive to verify you own the game. But by installing, some games will load faster and the console will be quieter because the drive isn't spinning.
