Welcome to the forum and thanks for choosing Best Buy to preorder this AWESOME headset. I'm jealous you're going to get it.

There is definitely a lot of conflicting information out there. It looks like it was rumored to be released before Christmas, but that's been pushed back to quarter 1 of 2012. I've seen January 2012 and as late as March 2012. The timeframe that we offer preorders varies, but my guess is that since it's not even listed on Bestbuy.com, we don't have enough information yet as to when it will be released to know when we will start preordering it.

A lot of places will list items with unknown release days with some arbitrary date that is basically a "dummy" date. After researching, I regrettably don't have an exact date that we will be offering preorders. I encourage you to continue to check the site, and as soon as we have enough information to post a preorder date, we should have it up on Bestbuy.com!

Hey guys I just wanted to weigh here. I'm a store manager GAmerstop and this is an issue we have had for a while. We have had official conformation from tritton that all land are set for a 4/2/2012(in store)$269.99 release. I can tell you from experience with Microsoft and accessories that I don't see any reason for the to hold tritton down for a halo release window, doesn't mean that isn't a possibility. The only time this may happen is when a Microsoft made product rather that a licensed product. I am extremely excited for this headset. I currently have the xp500 and have been satisfied with them but fthey have their faults. The rechargeable battery is a huge win along with the uncompressed chat. FYI these can still be used with your ps3 just won't be able to chat, but you can watch blu-ray movies and play in glorious 7.1 surround
