We are looking at getting the 360 for Christmas.
I'm confused on all of the packages. Some include
Silver, others have Silver and one month of Gold.
Do they both allow you to play against others
online???
Thanks!

Every XBOX 360 sold comes with 1 free month of Gold Service upon registration of a gamertag.
XBOX Live Silver is the XBOX Live basic membership allowing you to purchase content and download demos. Some games that share the same name on the PC as their console counterpart can also be played online for no charge.
But in order to fully unlock the XBOX Live Experience, and play all games online, you will need to purchase the XBOX Live Gold Service. These come in different denominations. Currently as priced:
1 Month of Live : $7.99
3 Months of Live : $29.99
1 year of live: $49.99
Note, these are prepaid cards you can buy in the store. Some accessories you buy also come bundled in special packages with online time cards so keep your eyes peeled for them.

Wow! You are quick!
So which is the best deal then? I have my 2 sons, 13 and 14, and
my husband who loves Call Of Duty. Boys love Halo. Should I get
the 360 Elite or the Pro? What about another controller? Can more than
one play at a time?? Sorry for all the questions....I'm so confused??
Thanks!

The Elite is nice in having 120gb of space, but unless you will be downloading a bunch of titles/movies/bonus content you don't really need it the pro will have plenty of space. The elite also does come with a bundled HDMI cable, and is black - but are those worth an extra $100? Both versions come with Lego Indiana Jones, and Kung Fu Panda, so you can take the extra $100 and buy two extra controllers or one controller and another game ![]()
As for which live membership to get, buy the 1yr for the price break bonus....in my opinion ![]()
