Will playstation 1 and 2 games play on the playstation 3?

Hey kgrahs,

Just to clarify what hockeycanuckjc mentioned, only some PS3 models are fully backwards compatible to PS and PS2 titles.  I briefly touched on this subject in the "Red Ring of Death and Other Gaming Nightmares" blog on these forums, and additional information can be found through Sony's Playstation support website.  It's even one of the most searched for topics!  You should be able to find the article (and a handy-dandy reference chart) using the link I've provided below:

ps2 games will play on the old ps3 but the new ps3 only plays ps1
