Re: PlayStation 3 vs Xbox 360: Which is Better for Me?

blue

Its just my personal opinion and I feel it's an inconvienence to have to use it with the USB cable plugged in.  Then it becomes a wired controller and it's high price is due to it being wireless.  We can argue all day I am just stating what I don't like about the PS3.  I am not a hard core gamer by any means. I own maybe 5 360 games and 2 PS3 games.

@ op:
well i only said all this because this Seems like a thread to INFORM OTHERS about facts, not so much opinion but it is biased on ur beliefs i agree on that.

u even went on to say its good if people add things to this but u never edited ur op

also want to add if u like playing sports games the PS3 is the far superior choice since you can play up to 7-player co-op and vs, locally.

I wasn't the OP, but I would imagine any opinions would be helpful in this thread. I just stated what i don't like about the PS3 but to most people me included that wouldn't or shouldn't be a deal breaker.  I figure I should mention I do prefer the PS3's start up menu over the 360. everything is open infront of you clearly stating what you are getting into with a help menu.  The 360 its tabbed and you have to keep opening tabs to get where you want. Forgot to mention that before.

Hey HonestGamer

You covered almost everything, but the Wii and PS3 both have 6 axis motion controls which brings you into some games and the Xbox 360 doesn't.

Re: PlayStation 3 vs Xbox 360: Which is Better for Me?

I have to disagree with the poster that claimed the PS3 had a bigger vidoe card than the 360, in fact the two have completely flipped specs.  The PS3 has the most powerful processor (almost needlessly powerful) than any other console.  And while the 360 has a less powerful CPU, its video card performs better than that of the PS3 (which is why shading looks better on the 360), other than that, the two consoles have almost identical graphics qaulity.  game developers havent found a way to perfectly harness the PS3's cpu yet, so lets wait to see which ends up having the best graphics in the long run.

Owning both consoles myself I can say that I hardly ever game on the PS3, as I find the 360 to have a controller that imo feels more natural for gaming.  Xbox LIVE is also the best interface for online gaming and has the most organized community (though i HATE that I have to pay$50 a year to use the service).

However,  there are PS3 games like MAG and MGS4 that I still play, however the PS3 has been delegated to being the central hub of my home theater.  I will NEVER play a dvd on my 360 because its upconverting is terrible even with the HD-DVD player attachment.  PS3's have the best dvd playback of any player i've owned, and I don't have to discuss how awesome the blu-ray playback is.  With built in wi-fi, blu ray playback, great dvd upconversion, and games to play if im in the mood to play, the PS3 is overall the best choice IN MY OPINION to the CASUAL gamer.  Hardcore gamers i suspect will find the 360 more to their liking, even with the threat of RROD and the $50 fee to play online.

each has their vices, as a buyer I think you should decide if u game casually or world like to lean towards gaming more than home theater.  im not a fanboy of either system so dont flame MY OPINIONS.
