I have recently been given the error code 8002a227. I hijacked someone's account, he called psn, and now I'm console banned from PSN. I've been waiting past 24 hours to receive an e-mail of how long it will last but it hasn't came. How long will this ban last?

Most likely forever as the pulled either the serial or MAC address from the PS3 and banned it.

Do I have to call Sony to make sure or what can I do? And if so, could I sell this PS3 and get a fair ammount of money?

hacking accounts= permant ban, try making an other account on ur ps3 if it won't let you then sony banned your console or ip address or both
