Hi there,
I live outside of US, but i have friends live in there..
Is PS Vita 3G edition is sim-locked to AT&T ? Can we use it with other 3G operators in our country ?
if it is not, i am willing to buy it
Thanks for your answer

Being that ATT is the service provider I can bet money that it will be simlocked, They lock everything and make it a pain to get unlock codes
. Unless Sony demanded it be unlocked you will be out of luck.
You could still use the wifi with your phone as a hot spot or a mobile hotspot device. Go with sprint if its where you live, they have truley unlimited data and cost the same

Hi kocake,
Welcome to the forum and thanks for your great question about the Vita being Sim locked. It's my understanding that even though the Vita itself isn't region locked, the Vita in the US is sim locked to ATT. I've heard that in other countries it is not, but for now, to my knowledge, it is sim locked.
Hope that helps and thanks for your great question!

Yeah tested it to confirm with two diffrent carrier Sim cards.
It says "Invalid Sim" so no you can't use any other carrier sim, gonna see if i can get an unlock code from AT&T, worth a shot(Bye-Bye Saturday, hello "hold music"
)
These where the two I tried in case you were wondering
T-mobile & TELCEL, didnt have a MOVISTAR to try aswell

i doubt gps will work with wifi. as it usually uses gps satelites or cellualr tower to triangulate your position, It would end up giving you the location of your wifi.
But i guess if you had a mobile hotspot it would work.

I don't know - it might work. I can use Maps on my iPod with no 3G and only wifi.
