Okay so now they dropped to $99.99 thats an affordable option in my house. And what better way then to play my console is to buy arcade like games for it. I searched online for arcade compilations and bought these games :

SNK Arcade Classics Volume 1

King of Fighters Collection Orochi Saga

Samurai Showdown Anthology

World Heroes Anthology

Art of Fighting Anthology

Fatal Fury Battle Archives Vol 1

Fatal Fury Battle Archives Vol 2

Additionally I went out to the Super Center today (since I cant directly the store names or prices) and found an unbeatable deal on Dance Dance Revolution X with the dance pad.

Theres something I really want bad from BestBuy.com that they seem to be the only one carrying without the expensive price tag and that the Tekken 5 collectors edition with the joystick. I am saying prayers everyday to the powers above hoping its still there on the 1st of May for purchase.

Oh yeah, ive also invested in a classic Sega Genesis Model 2 unit and tons of games for it.  Now Im flat out broke until next month but its worth it. I plan on losing weight with DDR: X.

Guess we all have likes or dislikes..... Posting responses like "Ewwww... why do you want this?" is kind of lame and doesnt really explain why one does not like something.

Because they were blatant ripoffs of Capcom's fighting games.

Congrats Hockey on your new investment!  I still love our PS2 and if it was to break, I am pretty sure that I would just purchase a replacement.

Im not sure about the DVD - Rom loading speeds of a PS2 , but some of those games in the collections I bought make me feel like im playing on a Neo Geo CD console. Because back in the days of Neo Geo, each cart features uncompressed graphics , a first for its time because of the large memory capacity each cartridge had.

In Fatal Fury Battle Archives Volume 2, all the games have white blood instead of red. Since we have a rating system out now, it would have been nice for SNK to release these games uncut as they were meant to be played. It appears they have toned down Samurai Showndown Anthology too. It sucks because someone my age doesnt need censorship, it should only be for the kiddies.

Samurai Showdown. Now that brings back some memories. I even had the version for the original Game Boy back in the day. Nice list. I'm envious.
