Unless Asto has said otherwise from the last time I checked their site, the answer is never,

as it would add a premium surcharge on all their products as the middle man(bestbuy) in this case needs to make a profit as well

The loss in margin % would be made up on quantity sold. If it wasn't a profitable business plan then all companies (Sony, Microsoft, Panasonic, Turtle Beach etc...) would have kept to direct business. Even Apple branched out in order to gain market share. It is only a matter of time my friend and the best time to make the transition would be in the spring/summer.

i agree, and hopefully since they merged or partenered up with skull candy, they will consider it as they are already available at best buy

Sorry, not update.  I've reported the feedback to the Gaming business team so they are aware of the interest, however, they may not get back to me directly on any action they take so I can't promise any details.

Ummm....guys.....I just picked up a pair of wired Astro A40's from Best Buy a couple of days ago. It's not up on the website yet but some stores just got them in. 

Hopefully it rolls out into the full asortment soon.
