I have a friend who works at Best Buy, and literally he does not know when Wii's come in until they are unloaded off the truck.....
Best Advice is to call(I have seen them in stock in my local Best Buy's the last couple of weeks) but that will of course vary by location.

Hey tigcat13 -
Coolballer is correct in his assessment of what "dropped" means. As a former member of the Inventory team in the stores, I can tell you that the term "dropped" most likely comes from the term "drop shipment" which is what we commonly call items that come in from UPS or Fedex to the stores. While there are deliveries most everyday from those two couriers, the store never knows what is coming, because items are auto replenished. Sometimes our systems can say that we have items "allocated", however I have seen it sit at "allocated" for weeks on an item. It just would not be fair to the customer to try to guess when it was coming into the store.
Your best best is to keep checking the stores. I know that might not be ideal, it really is the only suggestion that I can offer.
Thanks!

yeah, Dorothy hit it on the head - just make a phone call.....everyday if you have to
Otherwise...."Internet Auction Sites" have Wii's....its not the most ideal, but its about the only other "sure-fire"....
