Adding HDD to 360S with Kinect

Sooo, I bought the 4GB system (apparently my research was faulty) and my son isn't able to play his original xBox games on it without a HDD.  Should I box it up and return it, if I can, after he's played it for a few hours or add the 250GB?  Can I even technically add the 250GB to this system?

I saw on the Best Buy site that there are 2 types of 250GB and 1 at least will NOT work in the S so says a customer reviewer; it didn't say anything about the other, which could be taken in 2 ways.

Advice appreciated.

TIA,

Al

Re: Adding HDD to 360S with Kinect

You can add a hard drive to your 4GB system, but you just need to make sure you buy the right one.

If you have the old Xbox 360 system, you will need this:  http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Microsoft+-+Xbox+360+Hard+Drive+(250GB)/9874392.p?id=1218186746308&skuId...

If you have the new Xbox 360 system, "S" as you've pointed out, you will need this:http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Microsoft+-+Xbox+360+250GB+Hard+Drive/1252538.p?id=1218243226820&skuId=1...
