netbook memory upgrade

I'm thinking about getting an Asus net book, PC1000HE I understand it has upgradeable RAM on it is this something I can do myself or does it require a PC tech to do it. I am relatively hand with electrical/mechanical systems. I'm just thinking that possibly BBGS support is a bit over priced on some things-previous experience.

Thanks

Re: netbook memory upgrade

It should be pretty simple. The memory access door is located on the bottom of the net book and you only need to remove 1 screw. The memory pops out and you insert the upgrade. Make sure you ground yourself by touching something metal on the netbook chassis before touching the memory slots.

Re: netbook memory upgrade

easy to upgrade, all you need is a screwdriver, a bottle of beer after install. PC1000HE has 1 memory slot, just replace the current memory, can be upgraded upto 2gig. DDR2 PC2-6400Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR2-800.
