I'm thinking of getting this laptop. The full model name is Sony VAIO VGN-NW242F/S. It is stated that this laptop is an Outlet Item. Can I know what this means? Does it mean that this is actually a refurbished model or what?

If it is refurbished, it is required to say so on the description. Since it doesn't list it, it just means this is an old item that has been discontinued, and BB is trying to get rid of their stock.

So are these items listed as outlet items still in good condition and do they still have the warranty? So if I encounter any problems with the laptop, would I be able to go back to a Best Buy store and have the repairs covered by the warranty?

All outlet items are new, unopened, factory-sealed items unless otherwise noted. They all carry the normal mfg. warranty, and can be repaired just like any other computer that is bought at BB.

Thanks for the answer.
