Don't settle for the Xoom, as frustrating as the wait is throwing away your money will be more frustrating, it will be years before anyone has a tablet that can come close to the ipad for all it does, I would rather stick with my original ipad than buy the xoom, samsung or any other tablet, the 1st Gen ipad is far better than any other tablet out now or even in development now. Apple just has a big headstart and no one else can come close to the number of apps available, I do believe now that the international launch is over things will move, I believe once Apple decided to not delay international rollout they hoarded all but the Verizon model which is no good outside the US. My BB has been no comment on when my 64 WiFi only will be in but they have received 50 since original launch and 45 were Verizon #G and the other 5 were 16 GB wifi only, resist the temptation to settle for a lesser product that costs almost as much.

What's really infuriating is that Apple released the iPad to Radio Shack about two days ago! About 500 stores had them, can you believe that? We have been waiting for weeks and now people just walk into Radio Shack to get theirs. I reserved the 16gb wifi, with the black leather Smart Cover, it's my first iPad so I started small, maybe I'll upgrade to a larger iPad 3 next year, I'll actually line up for it, instead of waiting 3 weeks like I am now...

I reserved my IPad 2 on March the 12th and still have not gotten a call that it has been received at the store for me to come pick it up.

Yeah, and thats exactly why I decided to buy one elsewhere. They wouldn't tell me anything when I called and they still haven't called me almost 3 weeks later.

At least next time we know better! I won't wait in line for one, but I'll get up early to order one from Apple as soon as they go on sale instead of trying to find one at BB or any other store.

Has anybody gotten there reservation fulfilled? I placed my order on March 12 and still no news. I know that Apple is probably having a bit of a hard time filling orders. But is Best Buy getting any shipments at all at this point?

Actually I gave up on Best Buy and have found many units at Targets and Walmarts. I purchased the exact one I wanted and have steered 3 others to Taget all of which got what they wanted as well.

Afraid BB lost cause I put order in on March 12 and have heard nothing. wait at apple.com is down to 2-3 weeks, as a fallback I placed an order with them on march 19 when wait was 4-5 weeks, at that time I was guaranteed delivery by april 26. Now that time is down I called apple and they said my online order should ship between this friday and next wednesday. If you place an order with apple.com today shipment will be between april 15-25. I would recommensd ordering from apple.com and keep deposit at BB. If BB comes through cancel apple.com order they do not charge until unit ships and you can cancel right up until it ships, if apple comes through get your $100 refund from BB. the way I see it BB is going to go deep into May before they finish their orders if not longer, Good Luck

Its been 3 weeks today since I made my reservation and still haven't heard from BB so I gave up on them as jpplante said and got one from Walmart. Something seems fishy about all this...

I bought both of my iPads from the Best Buy nearest my house (Garland/Firewheel) as a walk-in after the Mesquite store kept me hanging for a while. Here's the thing, you're gonna have to put in some phone/leg work on this thing if you want an iPad. I was in the NorthPark mall Apple store on Friday at 1:30pm and they had iPads going out the door. They're out there to be had friends and if you have a BB gift card for your reservation, they'll take it at another BB as well.

just finished syncing my 32 gb ipad 2 I got from Target, just walked in for something and they had 1 16gb and 2 32 gb wifi only ipad 2's, all hooked up search over, Target has been getting quite a few shipments, good luck
