NS-PAUM50 Microphone Not Working

Hi all,

 

Looking for help troubleshooting the microphone in the title.

 

It works just fine on another computer, but won't work on the one we need it for. We have uninstalled all audio drivers, reinstalled them, and restarted multiple times. We have checked all audio settings in multiple programs to no avail. The computer is running Windows 10 Home Edition, and didn't have any issues until last night, when the mic just stopped working.

 

As far as I know, it's supposed to be a plug & play mic that doesn't need drivers, but since it works just fine on our other PC, I'm hoping someone here knows something.

Usually the drivers contained in the USB dongle should be automatically downloaded. Have you tried to connect the dongle to a different USB port on your computer? Other troubleshooting steps are noted below:

 

-Check the volume levels of your computer’s speakers

-Check if your computer’s speakers are muted either in the operating system or on the speakers themselves

-Check your operating system’s audio input settings

-Check the microphone’s volume and on/off settings.

-Restart your computer

 

You’re welcome to manually double check if the driver needs an update, or reinstall it using the steps noted below.

 

To Update drivers: Start > type Device Manager > Expand one of the categories to find the name of your device, then right-click (or tap and hold) it and select Update Driver. Select Search automatically for updated driver software.

 

To Reinstall drivers: Open Device Manager, right-click (or tap and hold) the name of the device and select Uninstall. Restart your PC and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.
