Hi, I have a HP desktop PC. I runs great but in the last couple of days it seems to have a mind of it's own.
While your on it or off it, it only stays on for maybe 5 -10 minutes. Then it restarts by itself. Does anyone
know what could be causing this. I have checked all the settings and everything seems OK. Can someone help?

Download a free program called "Core Temp". It will give you a real time gauge of the heat at the core of your CPU. I like to use this as a reference for when it's time to blow the compressed air into the fans.

While not entirely possible, Malware and Viruses can cause this behavior as well. Have you utilized the system restore function of Windows to bring your computer back to a time where it did not exhibit this problem?
