Sorry to hear that.
Unfortunaly you cannot return a laptop after 9 months.
First suggestion would be to take it to a place where you have free wi fi access or to a friends house that has wifi and had no problems doing these things.
If it works fine somewher else then the issue either resides in your internet provider or your home source, such as the router you are connecting to.
First suggestion is to take it somewhere where other people are getting what you want and see if you can get it there as well.

Ok then. If it is not working in a location where someone elses computer is working then it is your settings.
Control Panel\System and Security\Windows Firewall
and select restore defaults
Delete your browser history and cookies.
to find internet options in the lower left part of your screen there should be a place to type things. On mine it says ask me anything
click on the security tab. then reset all zones to default level
Go to the programs tab and click on manage add ons
Or possibly the best option is to go to the advanced tab and select Reset. This will not alter any programs on your computer but will reset your internet explorer to a clean state.
in Windows explorer see how much hard disk space you have free. If it is less then 10% clear some space. If it is less than 5% clear a lot of space.
Then run disk cleanup and disk check.

I guess the last thing I could suggest would be to update your device drivers. However, without an internet connection that may not work
Question, is you internet WiFi through a router.
If it is and your router has ethernet outputs connect your laptop to the intnernet using an ethernet cable. then try updating drivers.
Also make sure your not in airplane mode.
