Important Question!!

Hi

Is it true that Best Buy will accept to return a laptop that has software damage only not hardware damage?

Software Damage? Did you buy something and it started to malfunction? The first thing I would look at is the recovery function of your computer (usually pressing a button on the kb on the bios splash screen)

 

Or is there another reason for return?

While Best Buy® does accept returns of products with either software or hardware-related defects, we are currently unable to return or exchange physically/accidentally damaged products. Please keep in mind though that unless a hardware defect can be confirmed by one of our technicians, a 15% restocking fee is charged for all open-box laptop returns.
