Please be patient with someone who's probably too old to start using new technology. I recently gave up playing games on 2G hard drive desktop. So I decided to buy one of those lap tops that I see and hear about all of the time (500G hard drive). Managed to get it set up and ran into the problem of the little pad thing instead of a mouse. Since I had once bought a wireless mouse, never opened it. Installed that and It was doing just fine and then the cursor just stopped. After a couple of days of trying, a message finally alerts me that the batteries on the mouse are low and I should change them.
How can I change the batteries!?! I can't even find out where the batteries could go, much less how to access where they go.
Please help!
Thanks

Some mice do not have user changeable batteries. What is the exact make and model of your mouse?

Thanks! I did exactly what you said and was finally able to find the battery area'
