I bought the HP 20" 2011x Led Monitor off of OfficeMax.com on Thanksgiving day in 2011 of last year and it's been working fine but On February 6, 2012 I was playing the Pet City Game on Facebook and then the screen went to a bunch of graphic tanish color across the whole screen and I couldn't see anything and the power light on the monitor was still on and blue, I had no choice but to push the button on computer in till the computer shuts down and then I turn it back on and the Monitor is working fine but then I get that saying that I haven't shutdown the computer the right way and to select 3 options, I can't remember what option 1 and 2 said so I selected the 3rd option which said Run Windows Normally so I did that and then it tells me it couldn't reboot normally and asks me to insert the windows installation disk and then hit enter to continue and select the language and restart the computer and hit repair but at the bottom it had said the kernal is either missing or is corrupted and showing the file location, Well without inserting the Windows Installation Disk (meaning the Recovery Disk) I hit enter and it did nothing and I hit esc and it did nothing so I inserted the Recovery Disk and Hit Enter and it did nothing and then hit esc and it did nothing so it had locked up on me so I push the button on the Computer in till it shuts down and waited 10 secs and then I turned it back on and the computer started normally and then logged back on my computer and then went back online and then the screen went blue and said something but couldn't read it cuz it restarted to quick and then I logged back onto my computer and it said Your Computer has recovered from an un expected shutdown and then when opening the browser and it was loading it repeated it again with the screen went blue and said something but couldn't read it cuz it restarted to quick and then I logged back onto my computer and it said Your Computer has recovered from an un expected shutdown.
Then on February 10th when Opening iTunes to play my music the monitor went and showed a bunch of different graphic colors up and down and across the screen like I couldn't see anything and with the power light on the monitor was still on and blue and so I repeated the same step again of turning off the computer by pushing the button in till it shuts down. This time I took a pic of it but I wanna know why my Monitor did that.

First, this is a Best Buy community, not an Office Max community.
Your computer is having problems, not your monitor. The errors you are getting is because there are serious problems with your currnt installation of the Windows operating system.
You will have to contact the manufacturer of the PC (not the monitor) and arrange to have it sent in for service/repair. If under warranty, they will advise you if your problem is covered. If the problem is deemd to not be covered under warranty, and software/OS issues often aren't), then you will have to pay to have the computer serviced.

It only did it to me 2 times the first time It did it to me was on February 6th and it shown a fuzzy tanish color across the screen in which I did not take a pic of but the second time it did it to me was on February 10th in which you just seen the pic I posted but after I got the computer back on and logged onto my pc and I opened iTunes and played a song it didn't do it again and after that I shut the computer down and just had unplugged everything cuz I wasn't gonna be using it anymore since I don't wanna risk of it doing it again.
The computer I currently have is a eMachines T5224 and it has Windows Vista 32-bit version on it and it is an Intel Pentium D Processor 820

Hello Becky,
Sorry to hear about the distortions appearing on your monitor. However, I agree with the experts that it most likely a computer and not a monitor issue. Have you tried connecting the monitor to a working desktop or laptop?

No I haven't tried hooking the monitor up to a working desktop cuz the only Desktop Computer that I currently have is the eMachines T5224 and it's an Intel Pentium D Processor 820 with Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit version on it. I am gonna be buying a new Desktop Computer on March 1st which will be the HP - Pavilion Slimline Desktop - 4GB Memory - 1TB Hard Drive

Hello Becky,
Thanks for your response. It sure would be nice if there was another computer you could use to test the monitor. Thanks for planning on purchasing an HP desktop in March. We can discuss via private email an additional rebate from HP after you purchase the computer. I will need your contact information and a copy of the Best Buy receipt.
Regards,
