If the tablet was setup with a Gmail account you should be able to login to that Gmail account after a few unsuccessful password attempts.
If you did not set it up with a Gmail account, the only option you have is to do a full factory reset. This will completely erase all data on the tablet and it will be like you have taken it out of the box for the first time. If this is the option we need to pursue, let me know and I will post the instructions. This is irreversible and permanent so make sure you cannot login to the Gmail or possible remember the pattern.

Thank you for responding!
Here are the steps for donig a factory reset:
-Ensure the tablet is connected to the charger and has at least 45% battery left. If the battery dies during this process the device could be damaged.
-Power off the tablet fully.
-Press and HOLD the Volume + button.
-While still holding the Volume + button, press the Power button until the screen illuminates and shows Insignia. Then release the power button only.
-Continue holding Volume+ until one of two screens appear.
A) -A screen appears with only an Android mascot in the background. If this happens simply let go of volume + and press it one time. You should then see the screen shown in item 'B'
B) - A list of options in the top left of the tablet screen.
-Use Volume - to select "wipe data / Factory reset" and press the power button to select it.
-Use Volume - to select "Yes -- delete all user data" and press the power button to select it.
-Following the reset, the device should boot up and go through the initial setup process again as when it just came out of the box.
This process will factory reset the tablet. If you have any questions with setup after this, please post them here.

Hi I have the same problem. We gave our grandpa an "NS-15MS0832B-10-C" Insignia but he's forgotten the password. We didn't add an email onto it so we were wondering how to reset the password?

If the password was forgotten, and no backup windows email was set up, the only option for accessing the tablet is to do a factory reset. Doing a factory reset is going to completely erase all the data and personal information from the tablet. The erased data is not recoverable in any way so be sure that this is the step you want to take.

Hello, Ryan or Helpdesk or Whomever, I would really appreciate your help. I have forgottem my password and would like to do a factory reset to my NS-P16AT08 Insignia tablet. I see the answer given below with instructions BUT there is no icon to press in the far lower left of the homescreenthat looks like a clock/timer.. My tablet opens directly to the signin screen. There is no accessibilities option window that I can find. Is there any other way to get to the accessibility options screen? Thanks for any suggestion you can give me towards resolving this problem. When I attempt this process and I get to the "Reset your PC" page - it freezes and I cannot click one of the two options available. The touch screen is working perfectly before this moment. What do I do?
