Really depends on which games you intend to play.

If playing Warcraft etc...midlevel computer $600

If playing Counter Strike or a graphic intensive game, your looking at $800 plus, and thats cheap.  

And are you looking for a desktop or laptop?  This stuff would be good to know to give you the best answers

I would recommend saving up some more money. It's going to be almost impossible to get a retail computer built for gaming for less than $500.
