I'm looking to buy a netbook and I found one that I'm interested in and it is in stock at my store. Do I need to buy it online in order to the $60 off the windows 7 upgrade? I can do the store pick-up and get the netbook today if I have to do it that way but I'd rather upgrade it right away instead of waiting for the card/code to be mailed to me.
The netbook has 1gb memory and upgradeable to 2gb, will windows 7 run okay on the samsung netbook with 1gb? I just need to be able to check email and play music - my laptop is going in for repair and it could be a while before I get it back.

I am confused, why do you want the windows 7 upgrade if the system comes pre-installed with windwos 7?

I was able to buy the upgrade at the store - they had the cards hanging up by the netbooks and it rang up at $20. Premium on this netbook isn't great - it was worth the try at that cost. I have 2gb memory on its way and I'll see if that helps a little bit. The netbook came with a handbook pdf type of deal that showed how to install the memory so hoping it's as easy as it looks.

Installing RAM is pretty easy in most laptops/netbooks. Usually just 1-2 screws for the RAM slot cover, then pop the RAM in (in some cases, one needs to remove the existing RAM and replace it with larger sticks).
