[ Edited ]

Hello,

Please I need your help.   I have purchased a Toshiba Satellite Laptop in one of your stores and I was under the impression that all windows programs were installed. I need the product keys for microsoft office and if there are any other keys as I have thrown the box away.

Please what can I do???

Thanks

Re: microsoft office

Office doesn't come with the computer. You need to buy it.

Re: microsoft office

If you did see Office.  It might just be trialware anyways.  It would have asked you to purchase the full copy a few months later.

Re: microsoft office

Save yourself cash Get OpenOffice at OpenOffce.org. It is office software that can open and edit MS Office files and completely free.

Re: microsoft office

If you see an icon or link for Microsoft Office 2010, you might have the Starter Edition preinstalled. When you click on it, it should give you 3 options: Buy online, activate with product key, and use Starter Edition. The Starter Edition of Microsoft Office 2010 only includes Word and Excel. The programs will have limited functionality and have running ads on the side.

Re: microsoft office

Be advised that while open office is an option, it often has formatting issues when files created using open office are opened in the microsoft equivalent program.  It is not an exact replacement. It is a very good alternative, though.

Re: microsoft office

The only time I have seen issues with OO was with a customer that Microsoft Outlook and that itself is a fail program.

Re: microsoft office

What I meant was documents created in OO sometimes do not look right when opened in Office.  Mostly bulleted text, but also word wrap has issues.  It  it not a biggie if you never use those.
