i need help suggesting a computer program from best buy

Hi I have a quick question reguarding to some PC program files for my Laptop that has the Windows Vista Home Premium running system on it. I'm looking for a Program that I could purchase either in store or online either of the two ways could work I just need the program desperately.

Im looking for a program that can take out the Vocals from a Audio music file so it sounds like theirs absolutely no singing in the song. I need it like as if its a Sing Along Song. cause im having a party for my uncle and want to do some type of kariokey thing. I was wondering if you guys had a recomended program from best buy or something i could download that takes all the vocals out?

Please respond asap. thanks.

It's been around forever, and it's free :smileyhappy:

Unfortunately, that's the bad luck of any electronic, there's going to be bad Apples... wait that's a horrible pun.

Yup.  There is basically nothing out there I know of that will do the job better than Audacity.  There might be some that are easier then Audacity, but not better.

Unfortunately there is no "magic bullet" here.  Most vocal removers operate on the assumption that vocals are panned center and instrumentals are panned right or left somewhat.  As a result they operate by removing what is common to both left and right channels, so might sometimes catch instrumentals, or fail to catch vocals that have been panned right or left.
