WoW is pretty light on resources, especially if you drop the detail levels.

 

However, if you get something like an Nvidia 9800GT or GTS 250, it'll scream.

 

Actually I remember seeing that Nvidia has a new card (GT 240?) that's comparable to the 8800/9800GT in performance, uses far less power, and I believe is under $100.

ALL of you "geniuses" who said that WoW wouldnt run with great performance were dead WRONG. It played WoW and games even harder to run perfectly. So please, dont be an idiot when you reply to questions like these. i almost passed up the chance with a very good system for the price. And i wont feel sympathy for you if i hurt your feelings. Good bye.

What detail levels?

 

WoW is quite playable on a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom with a GMA950, but with graphics settings tweaked WAY down.

 

You need something like one of the video cards I mentioned if you want to crank the detail levels up to nearly maximum.
