Did you download the drivers and updates from both the MFG's website and from Microsoft's website?

when i get to a certain point it alerts me that  i need to dl drivers and it directs me automatically to microsoft  so those were the drivers that i dl . Yes i dl updates from microsoft automatically.

Sometimes if the drivers don't work from Microsoft the ones from the MFG's website will.  Go to the MFG's website for your printer, type in the printer type into the site's search bar, and see if any drivers or updates are available from there.
