I'm thankful for the cheap price that I paid for when I had pre ordered Windows 7, but I'm very disappointed that the package didn't arrive today.  It is now 9:20pm on November 22, 2009 and no package.

This is all the tracking info that I have for today at 9:20pm:

Finally got an e-mail yesterday evening stating my copy of the Windows 7 pre-order had shipped - only to take a look at the tracking this morning and see that, like IceAxe, the only data I had was "Received from Shipper" and "Enroute to Destination Processing Center" - but both of these events were dated literally just minutes ago - meaning that my copy of Win7 hadn't even LEFT THE WAREHOUSE UNTIL THIS MORNING.

This has been absolutely unacceptable.  I'm getting to the point where I don't give a rat's bum about the $100 I saved by getting the early pre-order - I'd rather pay $200 to N-e-w-e-g-g or MicroCenter - or ANYWHERE else - than to let Best Buy keep the $100 I paid to them.

I've been a loyal Best Buy customer for years - and in fact am currently a member of their Premier Silver level of the RewardZone program - but after this experience, I'm having doubts about whether I will ever end up shopping with their company again.

EDIT - Are you joking? The Best Buy forum won't let me submit a post with "N-e-w-e-g-g" in the message body? Nice, Best Buy; paranoid much?

This was my first and last pre order experience with Best Buy.  I received a email stating that my copy of windows 7 shipped on 10/21.  Yesterday the link to mail express tracking was not working.  No copy of windows 7 was delivered yesterday to my home.  I checked the link again a few minutes ago and i am now receiving the same info about my order being processed in Hebron, KY. 

This is ridiculous.  I have never received a pre order purchase (which was ordered months ago) after release, let alone  a week past release which looks to be taking place here.  TheAmazon was running the same deal for early upgraders.  I have no clue why i didnt go with them to begin with.  How is it that TheAmazon was able to ship out units early?  Usually people who pre order on item lauches this big actually receive their orders a few days before actual launch. So when will Best Buy be going the way of CC?  Horrible.  Not a satisfied customer at all.

I know what you mean. I, also, pre ordered my copy of Windows 7 months ago. Something like July. Though, when I did the pre order, that I would recieve it by Oct 22.  I can see being , maybe a day late for just becuase. I know that so many people orded window 7, so there might be a delay or a day. ok, i can live with that.

However, every time i checked my order it just says in-process...what ever that means.

Wow, I still have the same order status from yesterday.  I hope that it comes this morning because I got to leave back to my Seasonal job today sence I'm only 4 hours away from my job.  If the package doesn't come this morning then I'll have to wait for a week when I get back from my Seasonal job that ends almost at the end of this month.  Then next month I go to another Seasonal job, so I really need my Windows 7 installed, and on top of that I gota cancel my internet for next month, but cant until I am able to install Windows 7.

Finally the Package Tracking Result says that the package has arrived in my state, so now who knows when it will arive today.  This doesn't mean that Best Buy is out the hot seat.

BestBuy has sent a second credit card authorization through on my card today (10/23). Why did they send a second authorization through. I think this signals a serious problem in the online ordering department. It seems like they had some kind of major screw up on the pre-orders. I am calling as I type this and have been on hold waiting to speak to someone. I have been in the calling que for 20 mins.

I couldn't agree more!  I close on my new house on Monday.  I wanted t get this install done before I don't have time to do it.

I had emailed Mailexpress company this morning, and this is what they said:

Your shipment arrived in Seattle this morning and was inducted into the USPS network; it will be delivered with your other mail in the next 2-3 business days.
