I purchased a new Lenovo ThinkCentre desktop computer that has 64OS.  I'm not really sure what that means, but I would like to purchase a new wireless printer to be used with the new desktop and also with my HP Pavilion laptop.  Am I going to have problems finding something that will work?  What would you recommend?

A cheap laser printer if you do not mind black and white only.

I purchased a few printers recently here's my thoughts....

• how many pages do you plan to print.  More than a few pages a month?  A laser will be more economical.
• did you say you have a laptop?  Wireless printers are worth it so you can print answer in the house.
• do you want color?
• do you want a scanner?  what about a fax?
• does the thought of printing on DVD's interest you?
• do you have an iPad in your future?  Look for a machine with AirPrint certification.
• have you considered more than one device?  I did.

Not sure if HP still does this but...my HP printer forces me to buy a new color ink cartridge when out, even when I'm not printer in that color or when I want to print just B/W.

If you do buy an inkjet... check out the cost of black and color cartridges.  Compare it to the cost of a monochrome laser (wireless).  When I saw how fast the black cartridge was going down, I went out and picked up a monochrome laser as a second printer.
