I'm thinking of purchasing the 3 for $1199 models s5212y / G60-535DX / 110-1125NR. I am not a gamer and my 2 kids are 11 & 9. Not sure if it is worth upgrading to the $1499 bundle s5220y / dv4-2045dx / 110-1125 or $1699 p6210y / dv6-1355dx / 110-1131DX ?? Not very computer savvy more just messing around on the internet, download pics ...not a gamer etc. But do not want to waste my $ either. I had a Toshibe that was $900 (bought for $600) and 2 months out of warranty the hard drive fried ...i was ticked and pretty much told not worth putting new hard drive in (2yrs old now). My Dell is a dinosaur (8yrs)...so need to upgrade. Any advise would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks!

if you dont plan on doing any heavy gaming on any of those, then youre good to go! Gaming wise the most you could play are the free little internet games that dont require and top of the line hardware to play. plus they are all preloaded with windows 7! let me see if i can come up with any other brands of those 3 items for cheaper
and ill give you item numbers

not cheaper but i found a laptop and desktop that are better and the netbook is going to be the same because they are pretty much all equal. total cost with shipping comes out to 1451.08, but you deff. get what you pay for. With the desktop youre getting more RAM, a bigger HDD (hard drive), a bigger monitor
, and a better processor. Ill give you item names:
Asus Essentio CM5570-AP003 Desktop with 20" Widescreen LCD Monitor
Gateway - Laptop with AMD Athlon™ X2 Dual-Core Processor - NightSky Black
Asus - Eee PC Netbook with Intel® Atom™ Processor - Midnight Blue

Thanks!!! I'll look into it...now is that individually (not as a bundle)and through Best Buy?? I already have internet (1 yr left on contract) with wireless router, so i don't need the router through BB. I appreciate the help...i can use all i can get
!! The Toshiba i bought came highly recommended and our friend bought the same one and theirs had no problems...I'm just out $600 and we didn't use it but a couple times a week at best! I'm not familier with Asus...is it a good brand?? If you should come across some other suggestions ...your feedback is greatly appreciated!!
Thanks Again!

asus is an excellent brand! they make some of the best price to preformance laptops! Toshiba is a good brand aswell, with electronics you to understand there will always be defects. Even the best of the best can have a defected item pass quality inspection. Computers are one of those things ![]()

Forgot to mention those are not bundled items, but the price is the total cost of them plus shipping. To my area code of course
. You don't intend on your kids playing any video games on those do you? Just remember a netbook is for ultra portability and is basically for browsing the internet, and not used to run higher end applications. Netbooks are highly recommended for business people on tho go who find it inconvenient to lug around a large laptop.

just a note on those packages the 1199 package also comes with a router and a in-home wireless network set up. The 1199 deal is awesome for everyday use.

BB site showed this available (actually it's the new bundle deal- Asus/Gateway). Drove an hour and a half (after an 11.5 hour shift at work) only to get there and be told they don't actually have the desk top ("it is being delivered tonight") or the monitor which won't be in for 5 days so I could buy it today and come back and pick up the remaining items. I told them I would be willing to stay and wait for the desktop and tried negotiating for the store to ship me the monitor at their cost- I was not driving back an hour and a half (3 hour round trip and &15 in gas) to get something I was told was there in the first place. After almost an hour of bartering they told me the guy from geek squad could deliver it when he came to hook up my net, but it would be three weeks before he could get out there (srsly?). I told him I had originally planned on declining the hook up because it was unnecessary and that it seemed ludicrous to me that they would send someone on a 3 hour round trip to deliver an item that would cost the store $15 to ship. Finally, fed up, I told him the $15 wasn't worth all this and to just ship me the monitor at MY cost (because apparently they couldn't knock $15 off the original item price either). He then came back with "I'm sorry, but apparently we can't ship it either. The button is "grayed out" and doesn't allow the option to ship". So all said and done- I didn't buy the bundle, and for the second straight time BB customer service experience was absolutely horrible- last time was purchasing my $1500 surround sound system which is a whole different story. I will not shop there again and I don't recommend anyone else does either. Apparenlty BB assumes people go and drop $1500 all the time everywhere they go so there is no need to accomidate them when snags come up.
