Hello all. I've got an older MPC Clientpro 565 desktop PC and I'd like to upgrade the video card. I've got an NVidia GeForce 7300 GS and I'd like to get a better card.
Any suggestions? I'm running windows xp -32 bit - don't judge me :-)
Thanks!
Pamela

That system is pretty old, so I would not invest much money into it. I did a quick look and it seems that you're on a Pentium 4 with only 1GB RAM and 1xPCI-E. The ATI 6850 is the most money I would invest in a system that ancient and I would also consider upgrading the RAM to at least 2GB for as little money as possible.
Honestly, depending on what games you plan to run, your best bet is to look at buying a completely new system since even a $400-$600 range desktop would be ridiculous more powerful than you current computer.

Better than Vista.
Remember kids, every time you open IE on Vista, a kitten dies.

You know, you can get a Radeon HD 7950 for under $250 on eBay, and it would be a big improvment over your 7300 GS.

That PC has a single core CPU that won't scale well with that GPU.
That PC has a stock 220W power supply that won't power that GPU.
That power supply most likely doesn't have the necesarry power connectors for that GPU.
