Out of range.

Well, I brought a computer from best buy like 10-11 days ago.

It work fine until yesterday morning.

My computer monitor start to turn black and pop up a window saying "OUT OF RANGE".

I don't know how to fix this. I am planning to return the cpu. But, I don't think there's anything wrong with the cpu. The monitor I am using is a Westinghouse LCD Monitor Model: L1975NW. And, the cpu is a GateWay Model: FX600-01e.

So, can someone help me? Telling me how to fix it and what's wrong with it? Please?

Thank you.

Re: Out of range.

This came from Microsoft's website regarding the error message you described ....

The computer is not connected to the Internet

View the "Change screen resolution" topic in Windows Help and Support on the computer's hard disk by following these steps:
  1. Click Start, and then click Help and Support.
  2. In the Search Help box or in the Search online Help box, type Change screen resolution, and then click Search Help.
  3. In the list of topics, click Change screen resolution.
  4. Click the link that best describes the problem that you are experiencing.
  5. Follow the suggestions to troubleshoot the problem that you are experiencing.

I hope this helps!
