I just bought a Series 7 Samsung Notebook. I am extremely frustrated that I am unable to find the right configuration to connect the micro-DVI (aka "monitor port") on my notebook to my LG monitor; which has a standard female HDMI port.
So, I think I need either one of the 2 options:
1) A 3-4 foot cable with a micro-DVI male connector (for my notebook) and a male HDMI connector (for my monitor), or
2) An adapter with a micro-DVI male connector with a female HDMI connector (on a cable connected to my monitor)
Please let me know how I can connect my notebook to my laptop. Thanks!

I couldn't waste more time on this long search for a solution to my new notebook, so I changed my approach and decided to search the internet to see what I could find by way of the monitor, rather than Samsung (which I bought from Best Buy).
LG Monitor has an amazing partnership for service with JustAnswer.com who you can choose to pay $30 to IF you are satisfied with your answer. HOW AMAZING!
You ask your question and if necessary, attach a picture (wow, an actual attachment!). After about 2 hrs (which I've already spent 2 days on) of constant question and response emails, the first technician immediately responded that he had to open it up to the rest of the team for help. In a matter of minutes, a lovely woman asked a couple of questions, I sent another picture and she returned links to order 2 parts. I told her I think this is the solution and that I needed to order and validate the solution. She said she had no problem and accepted that I would pay her after I verified her recommendation worked.
NOW THAT"s CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I am one happy (so far) customer with LG ![]()
