My laptop just broke

Hello community,

My laptop, the Asus G7 model has just completely shut down for no reason. I was on it for one minute, and then the next it just turns off. I can't turn the laptop back on at all, and it is not charging at all. I tried to plug in the charger to see if maybe the battery died, but normally when the battery died I would just plug in the charger and it would start up again. This time though when I plugged it in there was no indication that it was even charging. I know for a fact that the charger is indeed working, so my guess is that the hardware itself inside the laptop must be damaged.

I am going to take the laptop into a Best Buy store tomorrow, but I was wondering if there is anything I can do right now to fix it.

Any suggestions?

Try unplugging it, taking the battery out, plugging it back in, and try to power it on.
