Lost my icons on the desk top!!!!!

I have a gateway computer with windows 7. I was going to upload some pictures to PhotoBucket and when i hit the Bulk uploader link the computer just froze up. I couldn't close the window so i did a forced shutdown at the start menu. When the computer restarted all my icons were gone. I have the bottom bar with everything on it but nothing else. Everything runs fine but no icons. I ran AVG with no problems detected.

What should i do?

Right click on your desktop, click View, and see if Show Desktop icons, is selected.
