Laptop / Xbox Promotion Question

I work at a technical college, and I have a .edu email address. Currently, I am taking a three-credit graduate credit course at another school in town where I live (also have a .edu email address at that school because of this class I'm taking). If I were to purchase a new laptop, would I be eligible for the Xbox promotional deal?

Re: Laptop / Xbox Promotion Question

Today I was in the Milwaukee area and saw a brand new Toshiba laptop with a 17.3" screen for $849.99 (Model: P775-S7215, SKU 2808132).  Couple questions:

  1. I was told by two different employee at two different stores that the Xbox promotional deal would either 1) not apply (because there are only a few laptop models left and there's a specific list of laptops that apply to the Xbox deal) and 2) the Xbox deal would apply because the laptop is over $699.  Which is correct?
  2. I'm looking for reviews on this new laptop.  The girl I spoke with at the first store (who told me the Xbox deal would not apply) said that Consumer Reports rated Toshiba #1 (over Dell, HP, ASUS, etc.).  She seemed very knowledgable in computers, and it looked like a really good deal for a pretty sweet laptop.  Where can I find some reviews/specs on this laptop?  Or is it too new yet?
