Have had laptop for 7 months atleast now and a new version has come out

I have the decemeber 07 version it has few differences and the main one is a better video card mine is 8 series that one is 9 series and in the gaming world certain video card especially for nvidia last about 4 years but would bestbuy accpet a trade in for this kind of reason or would they lol at me and say get out.

Im not aware of any trade in program at Best Buy right now. You will have to probaly sell it on E Bay or CL and then once sold, go back to the store and purchase the newer one

While Best Buy® stores currently do not offer a trade-in program, we do offer one through BestBuy.com.  Simply click on the link at the bottom of the page that says "Trade-In Center" and that should direct you to our partner website.  If you have difficulty finding the site though, simply click on the link I've provided below:

There you should be able to select from a wide variety of products, enter your system's specs, and obtain an estimate of how much your computer would be worth in the form of a Best Buy® gift card.
