Hi everybody, I have a laptop, it's DELL Inspiron 1525, Window Vista Ultimate 32-bit, has 2.0 GHz processor speed. I would like to ask: What item should I buy to increase its current processor speed 2.0 GHz up to 3.0 GHz or higher?? Please help me.

Unfortunately, there is no way to increase the processor speed safely without damaging the unit.

Ok, but how can I increase it?
I mean what item do I need to have in order to increase the processor speed?

The only way would be to use software programs. Doing so may damage the unit so I do not recommend it.

Oh ok, I see.
But do you know or have any software programs that you can recommend me to use? Because all this time I've been looking around the internet to find the software programs that can best help me increase my laptop's processor speed up to 3.0 GHz but I can't find any.

The 1525 will actually accept a Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 T8300 prcoessor. The processor is going to cost you roughly $149-$300 bucks and you will have to be comfortable in taking apart your laptop and replacing a processor.
It''s an expensive upgrade for such a little performance boost.
The highest processor you can upgrade to is the 2.4.
I would not recommend any of the software speed boosters. You can run into overheating problems and then end up damaging your processor or motherboard.
Your current processor is most likely locked so a overclocking program would not help increase the speed.

Awww...So you think I should buy a better laptop and then increase it?

You would be better off buying a laptop with the processor you want rather than increasing what comes in it.

You're welcome. While it is possible to change the processor in a notebook once you buy it, it is quite difficult to do.
