They will send the laptop out to be repaired under the terms of your ADH plan.

That's up to the service center to decide if the computer is more economical to repair or replace.

Kudos to Neihn. This is the only useful post by a super contributor I have seen on these boards.
Most have been posts by company trolls telling the poor customer how happy he should be to have been screwed by Best Buy.
Good job!
Best regards,

Thanks for asking this information! I just asked the same thing, because my screen is unreadable. I think it is going to be cheaper to buy a monitor for me. I got mine at Office Depot and bought a 3 year extended maintenance plan and I am having trouble even getting them to take ownership of the problem. I have the warranty receipt and I can't find the actual computer purchase and although my warranty says REPLACE they are trying to tell me I have to get the actual receipt so they know how much the computer was. They gave me a number to call and would not do it for me, then that number sent me to another number that said they had no record of my transactions including the warranty that I had in my hand!
I had to contact the credit card company and get the transaction numbers and copy of my statement, and now they are trying to get Office Depot to send a copy of my receipt and they don't HAVE to send it because it is over 2 years! I paid $299 for a contract I can't even have taken care of! The whole thing has me nausiated and now, I am afraid to go to Best Buy to get anything also with all these horror stories on line about not being able to get service!
