I am asking this for a friend of mine. When he starts up his computer, it goes to a blank screen, with a j and a flashing cursor. He can't type anything after the cursor, nor can he get into safe mode by pressing any of the F buttons. He was trying to load linux mint onto his computer. Windows is the default, however, he also has ubuntu. He is trying to get into safe mode, is there another way? What do you suggest he does?
