A question: Does any HDMI out have FULL HD signal ? That is, can a laptop 1600 x 900 have HDMI with full HD signal ?

As MichaelHWG stated, yes the HDMI will carry full HD output.  You will, however, have to go into the settings for your video card/chipset and adjust the output over the HDMI to full HD.  You will also have to specify digital audio over HDMI for your sound card driver as well.
