My old laptop finally 'died' about a month or two ago. Last week, I ordered a hard drive enclosure from Amazon, and it came in today.
My [only] issue is that the screwdriver that came with the enclosure isn't removing every screw from the back of the laptop. I've only been able to move 4-5, and I can't remove anymore in my attempt to get my hard drive out.
Would it cost anything just to take my old laptop to Best Buy so that they can quickly retrieve my hard drive from my laptop? I mean, it shouldn't take more than a couple of minutes to do it, right? Would it cost anything?
Thanks

It depends on the level of services you need done. They are differently priced and I don't know what your service would fall under. Best to give them a call, or you can bring it in for a free estimate *without work based on what you tell them needs to be done)

Thanks for the replies.
It's a Dell Inspiron 1420. There's probably only two screws I need to unscrew, but the screwdriver that came out of the hard drive enclosure box is insufficient -- I can't get a good grip/hold on the screws to unscrew them.

Waddle to the nearest Walmart or some other such store that sells tools and get a multi-bit screwdriver with the appropriate bit. It won't cost you much and you'll have all sorts of uses for it later.

Thanks to all who have replied.
I'm going to look through a bunch of old tooldrivers I have in my basement and see if I have something that will work. If that fails, I'll find the right bits at Wal-Mart. I just hope I can find something that will get the hard drive out. Pretty frustrating indeed.
Merry Christmas to everybody here.
