Ethernet Splitting

Here is the deal, I have a cable modem, a wireless router, a Vonage router for home phone, and then the computer, I recently read that an ethernet splitter is a misleading term. What I need to know is how I can go about hooking up the 2 routers. I can then just go from the wireless router to the computer, the vonage router does not need to go to the computer, I think. lol. Any helpful hints out there?

Re: Ethernet Splitting

Personally, I would set it up in this way :

Wireless router plugged into the modem, then the vonage and computer plugged into the wireless router. That way the vonage "router" and your computer will be on the same vlan.

Re: Ethernet Splitting

I'll admit, I'm not super familiar with the Vonage routers, but to me, it makes sense to put it on the same vlan as the computer, in case you need to get into it for management purposes. If it doesn't work, post back and one of us will respond.
