Desktop to HDTV

I just bought My first HDTV am a novice when it comes to new gadgets. I would like to hook up my desktop once in awhile to watch baseball games. The problem is my desktop is in another room about 25 -30 ft away. I was wondering is there a wireless solution or maybe a cable with USB on one end and HDMI on the other ?

Thanks

Brian

Re: Desktop to HDTV

Hey 33larry what you first need to do is to check if your new HDTV and your Desktop  have an  HDMI port or DVI port for your desktop if they do then:

you can buy HMDI cables or DVI to HDMI and a HDMI repeater/extender.  what it does just how it sounds is to repeat the signals from the HDMI cable so it won't degrade by the distance gettin the image clear as it should be.

DVI to HDMI cable

HOPE I'D HELP

IF I DID PLEASE GIVE ME A KUDO WHERE THE STAR IS UNDER MY NAME

Re: Desktop to HDTV

33larry I'm sorry I skipped where you said about usb to hdmi

Well you would need to buy a HDMI to USB converter and still need to buy the hdmi repeater.

There's a wireless HDMI extender called Alereon NoWire. Which in that case I have no further knowledge.

Hope I' d Help :smileywink:

Re: Desktop to HDTV

I appreciate that. there is also a vga to hdmi converter. you can go to a computer repair shop and maybe find the things that you need.

good luck and reply if you connected and how you did it.
