Local BB Geek squad said buy 2 1G chips to replace 2   .5G chips inside

Crucial told me DDR2 soDIMM in 1G or 2G chips for slot 2.

One board poster said PC only had 1 slot  so replace 1G chip with 2G chip.

Another board poster said he had 2 slots and put 2 2G chips in.

Who is correct, thanks!

Theres a program called SiSoft SANDRA that allows you to check what is on your motherboard without actually opening up your PC. Theres a free Lite version for personal use. Im having issues posting links here, so if you Google it, you can find it
