HI I work for Intel and our Atom chips help to power Google TV  which we call Smart TV. I would definitely recommend you purchasing Google TV. As you said the Hulu problem can be solved by simply hooking your laptop up to the TV. Hulu currently only wants it's service to be accessed by portable devices because of it's agreements with the cable networks. However the other features on Google TV such as Netflix, integrated cable and internet search for content and just general excellence is unparalleled. It beats out any DVR, Apple TV or other system because it is in essence a Smart TV that caters to your preferences and finds you the content you want. In my opinion you can't beat it!!
