Can you clarifty what you mean? Blue screens (e.g. blue screens of death) are error messages of Windows. This can happen regardless of what components are inside your computer or who makes it.

Bluescreening can happen on any computer, regardless of who made it.

I'm guessing you mean the webcam issue? I haven't heard anything but the Studios I have set up lately, I just haven't taken the chance and disabled the update ![]()

If I had to guess, you're asking about the Studio 15's with the blue screen issue after installing the updated drivers, correct? If so, that issue has been taken care of in the older Studio 15 (model 1537) models. Dell is phasing that model out (as is Best Buy), and has replaced it with the Studio 15 (model 1555). The new Studio 15 (1555) does not exhibit this issue, either.
This issue was quite unfortunate, because it ruined the experience many people had with the original Studio 15 (1537)... when in fact these are really good laptops. I'm extremely *extremely* happy with mine. The Best Buy website still has the 1537 listed (in some colors), and its price has been reduced to $629 since its being phased out... I definitely recommend anyone pick one of these up if they're in the market.

There was a big controversy over Dell Inspiron 1501 laptops where some models with Windows Vista would BSOD all the time playing movies, or for whatever reason. Dell issued several BIOS revisions for it but none of them addressed the issues properly.
