Alienware customer service required a customer ID number for support. They say that the number is on the invoice from Alienware that came with the computer. The problem is I bought it from BB not Alienware, so does this mean I am not able to get support? Is there somewhere else I can get this number??
You can get support from Best Buy but you are not elligible for Alienware support because you did not buy the system from them. It's the same terms as their agreement with Dell, who owns Alienware, in order to drive Geek Squad revenue.

I was extreamely confused by the pictures too, so I decided to go to Alienware and build the computer.
Area-51 come with 1000watt or 1100 watt power systems and are all liquide cooled.
Looks like it is a single video card which was really disappointing.
Duel 600 gig Raid HDs is a nice add on they don't tell you about.
Look at the weight of the Area 51 computers 86 Pounds.
I am returning my HP Elite which has the lock up problem for the Higher end Alienware system. It is currently on backorder but if anyone has one please fill in the blanks.

I just bought the AA-2343CSB. There is only one GTX 260 with 1.8G ram. the PSU has no label except that it was made in china.

I had to return mine because of constant blue screens, I believe it was a memory problem. I was disappointed that Alienware did not provide any type of recovery options. When I tried to recover from Windows 7 I still got the the BSOD, so I gave up. Bestbuy was great about the return, even refunded the shipping cost. I hope yours works better, let us know.
I ended up getting the Asus machine which I am very happy with other then the '90 style case!

So far, mine has locked up 3 times. No BSOD yet.

also, best buy doesn't specify the type of memory included (1333mhz, 1600mhz, etc)

I have had mine since 11/11/09 and it is amazing. it has not froze once, and just a beast. I regreted buying it as first cause it was kind of pricey. But now I am so happy with it. I would not return it. Only thing I am doing it trying to get ahold of alienware to find out how much a PSU from them cost, and then getting another 260 GTX to put in it!!!

I had bad hardware, it happens, especially with 9gb for RAM. Search the forums for the PSU, someone posted what they use but I cannot remeber what it is.
The memory is 1333 btw.
